Mumbai Railway Police Bharti 2026: Constable Aspirant Dies During Running Test of RPF Recruitment in Ghatkopar
An unfortunate incident occurred during the Railway Police Force (RPF) recruitment process, where a candidate died during the running test. Akshay Misal, 30, from Buldhana district, was taking the 1,600-metre running test at the Railway Police Ground in Ghatkopar East on Monday morning (February 23).
After completing the test, he suddenly collapsed. He fell unconscious around 10 am after finishing the field trial. Akshay was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital, but he died during treatment.
A 30-year-old aspirant, Akshay Misal from Buldhana, collapsed and died during the Railway Police recruitment drive after completing the 1,600-metre run. Mumbai Police said that Pant Nagar Police registered an accidental death case. No foul play is suspected, and the exact cause will be determined after the post-mortem report. Misal had applied for Railway Police recruitment for the third time this year, but tragedy struck on the field.
