Rohit Shetty House Firing Case: Conspiracy Coordinated from Tihar and Arthur Road Jails, Probe Reveals

Shocking revelations have emerged in the investigation into the firing incident outside the residence of noted Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty. During interrogation by the Mumbai Crime Branch, it has come to light that the entire conspiracy was allegedly coordinated from two of the country’s most secure prisons — Tihar Jail in Delhi and Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai.

According to police sources, accused persons arrested from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have revealed that the conspiracy is linked to operatives of the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang.

Police officials said the responsibility of carrying out the firing at Shetty’s residence was given to the so-called ‘Agra Module’. Shooter Deepak Chandra allegedly played a key role in executing the attack.

Investigations have revealed that Golu Pandit, a member of the Lawrence gang lodged in Tihar Jail, coordinated the Agra module from inside the prison. Police said Golu Pandit had prior acquaintance with Shubham Lonkar, who allegedly assigned him the task of recruiting new shooters for the attack.

The recruitment of shooters was reportedly carried out in a systematic manner. From inside Tihar Jail, Golu Pandit contacted a man identified as Vishnu Kushwaha, who subsequently prepared Deepak and other recruits for the crime.

Later, Shubham Lonkar and Arju Bishnoi allegedly got in direct touch with Deepak and his associates, luring them with hefty payments in exchange for executing the attack.

In a significant development, police said Golu Pandit was released on bail just days before the arrest of the shooters. Mumbai Police are currently searching for him.

Police investigations further revealed that the responsibility of arranging the vehicle and weapons was assigned to the ‘Pune Module’. This module was allegedly operated by Pravin Lonkar, brother of Shubham Lonkar.

Pravin Lonkar is presently lodged in Arthur Road Jail and is also accused in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique. According to investigators, he managed the logistics for the firing incident from inside the jail.

Mumbai Police are now preparing to seek custody of Pravin Lonkar for further interrogation. Officials believe that questioning him could uncover deeper layers of the conspiracy.

The case highlights how criminal networks are allegedly being operated from behind bars, with attempts to target prominent figures from the Bollywood industry.

Further investigation is underway.
