Rohit Shetty House Firing Case: Six More Arrested, Main Shooter Nabbed in Rajasthan

The Mumbai Crime Branch has achieved a major breakthrough in the firing incident outside the residence of noted filmmaker Rohit Shetty. Six more accused, including the main shooter involved in the sensational case, have been arrested from Rajasthan. All the accused are being brought to Mumbai under tight security for detailed interrogation.

According to police sources, following the firing incident, the Crime Branch intensified its probe using technical evidence, CCTV footage, and mobile location tracking. During the investigation, inputs were received that the accused were hiding in different parts of Rajasthan. Acting swiftly, a special team conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations and apprehended six accused, including the key shooter.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused had conducted recce of the area prior to the attack and had also mapped out alternative escape routes. Police have reportedly recovered weapons, live cartridges, and crucial evidence linked to the motorcycle used in the crime. During initial questioning, important leads have emerged regarding the criminal conspiracy, supply of arms, and the motive behind the firing.

A senior Crime Branch official stated that the accused are being brought to Mumbai on transit remand. The police will seek their custody after producing them before the court to uncover the larger network behind the attack.

Earlier, five accused had already been arrested in the case. With the latest arrests, the total number of accused held so far has risen to 11.

The firing incident had raised serious concerns over the security of film personalities, despite existing protection measures. With these arrests, police officials expressed confidence that the entire conspiracy, funding trail, and involvement of other associates will soon be exposed.
