Rohit Shetty House Firing Case: Weapon Supplier Worked for Bishnoi Gang Under Cover of Garage Mechanic
Fresh and startling revelations are emerging almost daily in the firing incident outside the residence of Bollywood producer-director Rohit Shetty, as the Mumbai Crime Branch continues to widen its probe. With the investigation progressing, several layers of the alleged criminal network are being uncovered.
According to sources, Asaram Fasale, who has been arrested for allegedly supplying weapons in the case, had been working for the Bishnoi gang for nearly the past four years under the guise of a garage mechanic.
Investigators have found that Fasale was deeply influenced by Shubham Lonkar, the alleged mastermind in the Baba Siddique murder case. Inspired by Lonkar, Fasale decided to join the Bishnoi gang around four years ago and gradually became a trusted associate.
Crime Branch officials have also learned that Fasale had been working as a mechanic at a garage in the Warje area for nearly a decade. It was during this period that he came in contact with Lonkar. Impressed by Lonkar’s influence and clout in the area, Fasale believed that joining the gang would enhance his own identity and influence, prompting him to start working for the Bishnoi gang.
Sources further said that among the four accused arrested earlier in the Rohit Shetty firing case, Fasale was directly connected to Swapnil Sakat, a link that was also established through Lonkar. Acting on Lonkar’s instructions, Fasale allegedly supplied weapons to Sakat, which were later passed on to unidentified shooters. These very weapons were allegedly used in the firing incident.
The Crime Branch has also gathered information suggesting that some of Fasale’s close associates were aware of his links with the gang. Police are now probing this angle to identify these individuals and to determine whether they had any direct connection with the Bishnoi gang.
So far, investigators have not been able to ascertain how much money Fasale received in exchange for supplying the weapons or from where he procured them. Police teams are actively working to find answers to both questions.
Sources said that all five accused arrested so far in the case were, in one way or another, influenced by Lonkar and had joined the Bishnoi gang with the intention of establishing dominance in their respective areas.
