Vasai-Virar Water Cut: Week-Long Supply Disruption From Today; Check Dates and Areas

Vasai-Virar will experience a week-long water supply disruption from Today, April 4 and will continue until April 10. Residents under the jurisdiction of Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation will be facing a water crisis under the Surya Yojana as the second phase of the project work will be undertaken.

The civic body requires around 400 million litres of water daily at present. During the water cut period, supply will be completely halted area-wise, which will create a shortage of about 150 million litres.

Due to the water cut, civic authorities decided to distribute water through a zonal system to avoid a crisis. The water supply will not be fully cut in a single area for 7-days at once, but the area-wise supply cut for  24 hours will take place during this period of time.

Each area, including Virar East and West, Nalasopara East and West, and Navghar Vasai, will experience 24-hour water cuts from 10 am to 10 am on the scheduled dates below:

April 4, 2026 – Virar East and West

April 5, 2026 – Nalasopara East and West

April 6, 2026 – Navghar, Vasai

April 7, 2026 – Virar East and West

April 8, 2026 – Nalasopara East and West

April 9, 2026 – Navghar, Vasai

April 10, 2026 – Virar West and Nalasopara West

Each zone will face a 24-hour water cut from 10 am to 10 am the next day.

Authorities have urged residents to store water in advance and use it sparingly during the disruption period.
