Nagpur, April 22
City-based Chartered Accountant and Insolvency Professional CA Swapnil Agrawal has been nominated as the special invitee to the Committee on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Delhi by the President of ICAI recently.
The Central Committee aims to bring in awareness about the new area of practice in the Insolvency Resolution sphere to the members at large and facilitates in educating the members on the practical aspects and procedures of the Law.
The Committee is chaired by Central Council Member CA Durgesh Kabra along with President and Vice President of ICAI as Ex-Officio Members and other noted professionals from all parts of the country.
With the implementation of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 at a fast pace in the last four years, various developments are taking place in the debt resolution space in the country. In this regard, the Committee has been carrying out significant activities in this area in the form of bringing out publications, organizing Training programs / Refresher Course for preparation of IBBI Limited Insolvency Examination, conducting important seminars/workshops/webcasts on relevant and emerging topics and series of webcasts on case studies of successful resolution cases under IBC and submitting suggestions to the Government/IBBI on important issues.
CA Agrawal is working in the field of Insolvency and Bankruptcy and is also contributing to the society with sharing of his knowledge. He is also past chairman of the Nagpur Branch of WIRC of ICAI.
