Covid infection has crossed 89000 mark in last eight months in Nagpur district. On Thursday, 588 fresh positive cases were reported in Nagpur district while 23 patients died during treatment. The death tally has reached 2892. The recovery rate has touched 88 per cent. In the last 10 days, about 500 to 700 fresh cases are reported in Nagpur district while the death tally is between 20 and 35.
It is expected to decrease further in the next few days. But following the restrictive rules, there is a possibility of increase in it. Today a total of 5682 tests were conducted This includes 3557 RT-PCR test and 2125 rapid antigen test. There were 181 positive cases in antigen test and 40 patients in RT-PCR test.
7 to 12 per cent of patients test positive
Only 10 to 12 per cent of patients tested positive in tests done in various laboratories. 93 patients tested positive in Mayo lab after testing the samples of 770 patients. This was 12.07 per cent. 37 patients tested positive in GMCH lab out of 479 tests and this was 7,72 per cent. 18 patients tested positive in AIIMS lab out of 246 tests. This was 7.3 per cent. 228 patients tested positive in private labs out of 1859 tests. This was 12.26 per cent.
62000 patients recover in city
So far, a total of 78844 patients, including 62555 in the city and 16289 in rural areas, have been recovered. There is more evidence of patients recovering compared to the number of patients infected in the last three weeks. Even today 630 patients have recovered. Currently 7351 patients are undergoing treatment. 4750 of these patients are in home isolation.
