Dist master athletes excel

The medal winners in the male category include Yeshwantrao Israni (gold in 80m hurdle), Anis Shilkalgar (silver in pole vault), Manohar Barai (gold medal in 10km run, silver in 5km and one silver steeple chase), Jitendra Patle (2 bronze medals in 5km and steeplechase), Shagir Sheikh (gold medal in hurdles and bronze medal in 100mt run), \.Ajay Chandrakar (bronze medal in 10km ) and Dutta Sonawale (bronze in 10km ).

Maharashtra's .Shagir Sheikh, Ryan Alan Dennis, Manohar Barai and Anis Shilkalgar won bronze medals in 30 age category in 4x400 relay and in 35 category. Shagir Sheikh, Ajay Chandrakar, Ryan A Dennis and Dilip Vidipi secured 4th place in 4x100 relay

It was also announced in the closing ceremony by MAFI general secretary David Premnath that all those players who secured place in best 6 are also eligible and selection for Asian meet. Helen Joseph, Pushpa Zad, Indira Bhoyer , Pranita Aml, Nayaran Kude les and .Nagorao Bhoyer also displayed outstanding performanc.e
