District collector Itankar to play cricket match

The competitions will feature nearly 75 sports events, ranging from kabaddi and volleyball to badminton and table tennis. Around 500 women officers and employees are also expected to take part.

The district administration has made complete preparations to ensure the success of the event. The competitions will be inaugurated by revenue minister and Guardian Minister of the district, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, informed resident deputy collector Anup Khande.

The events will be held at well-equipped sports grounds across Nagpur. Notably, the cricket matches will take place at the ground of the Vidarbha Cricket Association. District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar will play on behalf of the Nagpur District Collector Office cricket team. Seven teams, including the Divisional Commissioner’s Office cricket team, will participate in the cricket tournament, Anup Khande added.
