Corona infection is on the rise in Nagpur. GMCH, Mayo and other government hospitals are overcrowded. Therefore, in order to avoid inconvenience to patients, the information about the availability of beds in government hospitals as well as private hospitals should be shared from the corona control room, said mayor Dayashankar Tiwari and NMC commissioner Radhakrishnan B.
Deputy mayor Manisha Dhawade along with mayor Tiwari and NMC commissioner, Radhakrishnan B visited Corona Control Room at the Shraddhey Atal Bihari Vajpayee City Operations Center at NMC headquarters on Tuesday and reviewed the arrangements.
Chief executive officer of Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Ltd. (NSSCDCL) Buveneswari S, additional commissioner NMC Jalaj Sharma, Ram Joshi, Sanjay Nipane etc. were also present.
The centre provides information on hospitals related to corona to citizens. Positive patients are counselled over phone, including how many beds are available in which hospital in the city. Their queries are being addressed, officials said. The increase in corona cases has created fear in the minds of citizens.
Doubts in the minds of the citizens should be resolved by the control room. Mayor and NMC commissioner suggested that the Corona Control Room should inform Corona Center about the available beds and vacant beds in nearest Covid hospital in consultation with Corona Control Room on an assembly and zone basis.
