Jilted lover attacks girl in broad day light

Anguished with the girl over not talking or taking the phone calls, a youth launched murderous attack on a nurse, injuring her grievously. The incident took place in Nandanvan, creating tension in the area. The culprit was immediately nabbed by the police.

Prashant Devendra Barsagade (24), is a resident of Gondia district and works as a helper in a truck. He got acquainted with the nurse around two and half years ago through a miss call. The girl use to work in a clinic in Nandanvan. According to details, the girls relatives had recently learned about her friendship with Prashant and they informed her to stay away from him, to which the girl also agreed and distanced herself from the youth. She was not taking his phone calls from last 15 days, which angered Prashant. He reached the clinic, where the girl used to work as nurse. The girl had just finished her night shift and was on her way back home.

Prashant followed her. The girl went to another clinic in Hasanbagh area in Rajendra Chowk, where her friend use to work. She entered the clinic to meet here friend, where Prashant followed her and they had a tiff. The girl sensed the danger and entered the clinic. He also entered the clinic and started scratching the girl with knife and then attacked her on stomach, ribs and hand causing serious injuries.

Hearing her cry, the citizens of the area entered the clinic and caught Prashant. Due to Bharat Band call, police were deployed at Hasanbagh, who immediately rushed to the spot and arrested Prashant. Zone 4 DCP Dr Akshay Shinde also reached the spot as soon as he got the information. On interrogation, Prashant informed that he was livid, as the girl had stopped talking to him. It is learnt that the girls is serious. Prashant had made up his mind to kill her, as he stabbed the girl multiple times.

Missed call led to acquaintance

According to sources, Prashant got acquainted with the girl through a missed call, and then he used to call her regularly and made false promises the girl. The girl was not able to understand Prashant’s tricks, but understood about him, when her relatives informed her. She then stopped talking to Prashant.
