Nagpur, May 25
The second wave of Covid is gradually slowing down. In Nagpur district, less than 500 new infected were found for the second consecutive day. While the number of healthy people was four times more than the new infected. On Tuesday, 470 new positives were found in the district and 25 died. Whereas 1,981 infected recovered. With this, a total of 4,52,341 infected people have become healthy so far. The recovery rate reached 95.51 percent. So far, a total of 4,72,011 have been found infected and 8,822 have died. On Tuesday, once again, more infected were found in rural areas than in the city and deaths were also higher. On Tuesday, there were 213 people in the city, 246 in rural areas, 11 outside the district. Among the dead 4 are from the city, 10 from the rural and 11 from outside the district.
A total of 14,145 samples were tested in the district on Tuesday. Among these, there are 8,465 from city and 5,680 in rural areas. Fewer samples were tested in the city on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the rate of infection in the city was 2.51 and in rural it was 4.33 percent. Death of patients outside the district is increasing concern. For the last few days, it has been seen that the death of patients from outside the district is more than that of the city and rural areas. Due to this, the death count is also seen more in the district. So far, 1,347 people from outside the district have died.
7,512 patients in home isolation
The number of active patients in Nagpur district has come down to 10,848. Among them, there are 5,837 in the city and 5,011 in the rural. Of this, 7512 patients are in home isolation. While 3,336 patients are treated in various government and private hospitals. In the Covid period till now, more than 20 thousand patients have undergone treatment in Mayo. 10,430 patients and 10,366 patients were admitted in Mayo. GMCH currently has 430 patients, 140 in Mayo and 83 patients in AIIMS.
