Nagpur, March 23

Due to the spike in Covid cases, the bus service on various routes have been curtailed and the bus service between MP, Chhattisgarh and Nagpur have been stopped.

Labourers are returning to their native for the festival of Holi and most of them will go back walking in absence of transportation. Taking cognizance of the situation, the National Highway Authorities of India (NHAI) has directed the directors of toll plazas to make food arrangements and sanitation arrangements for such labourers, as they have the last year experience, when labourers walked hundreds of kilometers without food and water on foot and their condition was extremely bad. Some had to take shelter on toll plazas and some on the borders.
