Aditya Sarwate and Akshay Wadkar knocked off fine half centuries as Navniketan Cricket Club defeated MSSC by five wickets in Guzder League 'A' Division Cricket Tournament organised by Vidarbha Cricket Association at different venues on Thursday.

At WCL ground, MSSC scored 241 for nine in 50 overs. Anshuman Rath top scored with 61 hitting six boundaries and one six. For Navniketan, pacer Suniket Bingewar claimed four wickets for 41 runs whereas Akshay Karnewar got three for 38.

In reply, Sarwate and Wadkar scored half centuries as Navniketan Achieved the target in 45.5 overs. Sarwate played a brilliant knock of 59 in 64 balls with the help of six boundaries and one six. Wadkar remained unbeaten on 54. His knock was studded with seven boundaries and one Six.

In another match at VCA Civil Lines, Indian Gymkhana recorded six-wicket victory over Reshimbagh Gymkhana. Batting first Reshimbagh scored 136 all out i 37.5 overs. Aditya Khilote top scored with 31. For Indian Gymkhana, Siddhesh Neral (4 for 28) was the most successful bowlers and he was well supported by Himanshu Joshi (3 for 26). In reply, Indian Gymkhana achieved the target in 23.5 overs losing just four wickets. Thanks to Mohit Kale who played an unbeaten knock of 40. Azhar Sheikh remained unbeaten on 31.

At VCA Jamtha, Eleven Star drubbed Advocate XI by seven wickets. Batting first Advocate XI were all out for a paltry 141 in 38.3 overs. Only Rajesh Tiwari (32) offered some resistance. for Eleven Star, Harsh Dubey captured four wickets for 33 runs. Hrishikesh Pawar too bowled well and got three for 33.

In reply, Eleven Star achieved the target losing three wickets in 36.1 overs. Sachin Shende remained unbeaten on 43 hitting four boundaries and one six. Faiz Faal scored 27.

At Kalamna ground, All India Reporter defeated Lipton Cricket Club by five wickets. Batting first AIR scored 242 all out in 45.2 overs. In reply, Lipton achieved the target losing five wickets in 43.3 overs.
