Sub-Junior basketball tourney from today

In the selection tournament a total of 35 teams from across Nagpur will be participating. In the boys section 20 teams will be in action while 15 teams will participate in the girls section.

The tournament will be played in the league-cum-knockout format.

The championship will be inaugurated by Standing Committee chairperson of the NMC Shivani Dani. On the occasion corporator Varsha Chaudhary, NDBA working president Abhay Kaplay, secretary Bhavesh Kuchanwar, NASA secretary Pranay Ghate will share the dais.

From this selection tournament the 12-member boys and girls teams of Nagpur district will be selected for the forthcoming 51st Maharashtra State Sub-Junior Basketball Championship scheduled to be played at Satara from May 3 to 8. The state championship will be organised by Maharashtra State Basketball Association (MSBA).
