Nashik Car Accident: 9 of Family, Including 5 Children, Die After Car Falls Into Well in Dindori
Nine people of the same family, including five children, died in a car accident in Dindori taluka of Nashik district on Friday night, April 3. The incident occurred when a car in which they were travelling fell into an open well, claiming the lives of 9 family members. The victims, from the Dargode family, were returning home after attending a social gathering when their car met with a tragic accident.
The incident took place around 10 pm near Shivajinagar in Dindori. The family, residents of Indore village, had attended a private class reunion at a wedding hall and were returning in a car. A short distance from the venue, the driver reportedly lost control, and the vehicle veered off the road and fell into a water-filled well located in an adjoining road.
Nashik, Maharashtra: On the night of April 3 in Dindori Village, a Maruti XL car carrying nine family members fell into a water-filled roadside well, killing all, including children aged 7–14. Rescue teams recovered the car, and police have registered a case.

On receiving information, local administration officials, the Nagar Panchayat fire brigade and police rushed to the spot. Rescue operations were challenging due to darkness and the well being full of water. After sustained efforts using a crane and support from the disaster management team, the vehicle was pulled out and all bodies were recovered.
Dindori Police Inspector said that they received the information at around 11 pm on Friday by the duty officer Pradeep Shinde at the police station, that a Maruti XL6 car had overturned and sunk in the well belonging to Ashu Raje in the Shivaji Nagar area of Dindori village.

"Acting on this information, we immediately arrived at the scene with our police staff. We called two hydra cranes and skilled swimmers to the well," Dindori Police Inspector told the news agency ANI.
The police said the car was successfully pulled out of the well at approximately 12:15 AM. The following individuals were found dead inside the vehicle: Reshma Sunil Dargude (27), Asha Anil Dargude (32), Khushi/Shristi Anil Dargude (14), Shreyas Anil Dargude (11), Rakhi/Gunwanti Sunil Dargude, Shravani Anil Dargude (11), Samriddhi Rajendra Dargude (7), Madhuri Anil Dargude (13) and Sunil Dattu Dargude (32).
"All deceased individuals were residents of Indore, Taluka Dindori, District Nashik. With the help of local citizens, the vehicle and all the bodies were pulled out of the well and taken to the Government Hospital in Dindori. A case has been registered, and appropriate legal action is currently being initiated," said the inspector.
