Nashik: Renovation of Old CBS Causes Confusion Among Commuters
Starting September 29th, renovation work has begun at Nashik's old CBS Bus Stand, leading to confusion among commuters. As a result, all ferries departing from the old CBS under the State Transport Corporation, Nashik Division, will now operate from the Thakkar Bus Stand.
The renovation was long overdue due to the poor condition of the old CBS Bus Stand. Currently, buses are operating from Thakkar Bazar until the renovation is completed. However, commuters are facing inconvenience as they are not properly informed about the new routes and stands.
With the upcoming Navratri festival, many pilgrims visiting Saptashrungi Devi Gadh in Vani Taluka of Nashik district rely on buses from the old CBS. Due to the changes, these buses will now depart from Thakkar Bus Stop, causing confusion among devotees.
Yesterday, shops and hotels at the old CBS were vacated to facilitate the renovation work. Authorities acknowledge the need for better communication to alleviate commuter confusion during this transition period
