Nashik Traffic Update: Sakal Circle, Victor Chowk, Mahindra Circle Closed for Gudi Padwa 2026 Festivities - Check Alternate Routes
The Nashik Police have announced temporary traffic changes in Satpur village due to the traditional Bhavani Mata Yatra and Gudi Padwa festival, which will include a bullock cart procession. To avoid congestion, several routes will be closed, and citizens are urged to cooperate and use alternative routes. The restrictions will be in effect on March 19 from 12 noon to 10 PM. During this period, no vehicles will be allowed on specific roads, although essential services will be exempted.

Routes Closed: Traffic will be completely blocked on both sides of Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Road at Sakal Circle, Victor Chowk, Satpur Village Kaman, and Mahindra Circle.
Alternative Routes: Vehicles traveling from Nashik to Trimbakeshwar are advised to use Sakal Circle, Achanak Chowk, Pandharinath Gangurde Marg, Mahavitaran Office, Nashik Oxygen Company, Bosch Company, Mahindra Circle, and Papaya Nursery, where dual traffic will be diverted.
Exempted Vehicles: Police vehicles, ambulances, firefighting units, and local residents living in the affected areas are allowed.
Legal Action: Drivers violating rules or ignoring traffic notifications will face legal action.
Meanwhile, local governance issues were also addressed in recent sessions. Chief Fire Officer Sanjay Bairagi announced that ₹18.17 crore worth of firefighting vehicles will be purchased from the Singhstha fund, and an additional ₹91 crore will be allocated for disaster management purchases.
TDR Scam Inquiry: Gamne demanded an inquiry into the TDR scam in Rajsarathi Society, Indiranagar. Dipali Kulkarni raised complaints about housing inconveniences in Vadala village.
Work for Unemployed Without Tender: A proposal to allow unemployed engineers and local laborers to take up cooperative construction work worth up to ₹10 lakh without tender was approved by Chairperson Sanap.
STP Work Investigation: Rahul Dive and others raised complaints about illegal tunneling in the riverbed during STP work in Agar Takli, which poses risks to riverside homes. An inspection tour of the site will be conducted with the Commissioner and all members.
Citizens are urged to follow instructions and plan their travel accordingly during the festival.
