Nashik Water Cut: Supply to Remain Shut Across City From Today for Repair Work

The Nashik Municipal Corporation’s (NMC) Water Supply Department announced a water supply cut for 24 hours. The civic body has undertaken repair work to fix leakages, upgrade pipelines and connect new water lines across the city.

Due to this work, water supply in all five divisions, including Nashik East, Nashik Road, Panchavati, Satpur and CIDCO, will be completely shut for a specified period from Saturday, April 4, until Sunday, April 5. The administration has appealed to residents to use water sparingly and cooperate.

Nashik East Division (Estimated Duration: 12 hours)

Connection of a 500 mm gravity pipeline supplying Kalanagar Jalkumbh to the main 700 mm line (Ward No. 30)
Works at Gandhi Nagar Water Purification Centre

Repair of a major 300 mm pipeline leakage at Trimbak Road (ABB Circle)

Replacement of a 200 mm air valve at P&T Colony

Nashik Road Division (Estimated Duration: 36 hours)

Cross-connection of a 900 mm raw water line at Nashik Road Water Purification Centre

Cross-connection of 900 mm and 1,200 mm pipelines at Gandhinagar Water Treatment Plant

Installation of a flow meter and cross-connection of a 450 mm pipeline with a 700 mm pump inlet line near 

Gandhinagar water tank under the Smart City project

Panchavati Division (Estimated duration: 18 hours)

Cross-connection of a 600 mm pipeline at Makhamalabad near Saptarang Building, Peth Road
Work on the new Samarth Nagar water tank near the RTO office
Repair of leakage in the gravity line at Kusumagraj Garden (Ward No. 6)

Satpur Division (Estimated Duration: 12 hours)

Repair of multiple leakages in 1,200 mm PSC pipelines at Kadepathar, Mahindra Material Gate, Omkar Tirumala Building, Balwant Nagar and near Patil Farm House
Repair of a 500 mm PSC pipeline near the carbon barrier zone

CIDCO Division (Estimated Duration: 18 hours)

Repair of a 1,000 mm PSC line near Maharaja Hotel (Sector 27)

Installation of an outlet valve at Tank No. 3 near Pathardi Phata

Cross-connection and valve installation at Indiranagari Jalkumbh

Repairs of multiple leakages in 450 mm and 600 mm pipelines in Lekhanagar, Govind Nagar and nearby areas

Repair of valves and leakage at Bhavani Mata tank, rising main line and Maruti Sankul pump

The Nashik Municipal Corporation said these works are crucial for ensuring a smooth and efficient water supply in the future. Citizens have been advised to store sufficient water in advance. Water supply may remain at low pressure for some time even after the work is completed, and residents are urged to cooperate with the authorities.
