Swine Flu in Nashik? 52-Year-Old Man Dies of Suspected H1N1 Infection
After dengue in the city, swine flu has reared its head, and a 52-year-old man from CIDCO has died of swine flu-like illness. The Municipal Corporation's health department has been alerted in this regard, and a meeting has been organized by the health department on Wednesday (16).
Instructions were given to all officials related to swine flu in the meeting. Due to the current climate change, patients with viral infections are increasing. In this, patients with cold, cough, and fever have increased. Ignoring the disease can pose a health risk.
If symptoms are found, get checked immediately. Fever (102-103 degrees), chills, cough and sore throat, body aches, headache, extreme fatigue, diarrhea, vomiting, patients infected with swine flu cannot rule out the possibility of complications such as pneumonia, bacterial pneumonia, and bronchitis. Patients with comorbidities such as diabetes and heart disease are likely to develop complications if infected with swine flu. Therefore, if any symptoms are found, the Municipal Corporation's Health Department has appealed to immediately contact the nearest hospital and get tested. Chief Medical Officer Tanaji Chavan, Assistant Medical Officer Prashant Shete, Biologist Dr. Nitin Raote were present at the meeting.
