Akshardham-Ghaziabad Road Traffic: Vehicular Jams Reported in Delhi as Family of Ghazipur Murder Victim Protests

A huge traffic jams were reported on Akshardham-Ghaziabad road in Delhi on Monday, March 10, during the peak hours due to a protest by the family of a victim who was shot dead in Ghazipur area of Delhi. A young man was killed on Sunday night, and an investigation is underway to find those responsible.

 "It's been an hour here, and the traffic jam has been going on for a long time. I don't know what's happening ahead, but they are not clearing it...It's causing a lot of trouble; all vehicles, including buses, are stuck," a car driver stuck in traffic.

Traffic in Delhi

As of now, the reason behind the murder of the 32-year-old man is unknown and the police are investigating the case. CCTV cameras near the crime scene are being checked to trace the attacker. Police are trying to find out which route the attackers took to reach the spot and which route they took to escape after committing the crime.

According to the reports, victim Rohit's family blocked the National Highway (NH-24) which leads to a 4-kilometer traffic jam. Local police, along with Additional DCP Vineet Kumar, arrived at the scene to manage the situation as vehicles were stranded for more than an hour.

"Around 4 AM we received information about a man who had been shot. Upon reaching the hospital and examining him, we found that he had sustained a gunshot wound," said Additional DCP Vineet Kumar. "We received information that a man is injured. When we went to the hospital, we found that he had been shot. In the initial investigation, 2 people have been detained and several teams are working on it," said  Additional DCP Vineet Kumar.
