'Bengal govt stands with minorities': Mamata Banerjee Criticize BJP's 'divisive politics' at Eid prayers (Watch Video)

Eid-Al-Fitur is celebrated all over the world on March 31st. On this occasion, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee shared her views and wished everyone. During addressing the crowd Mamata said that Eid is a celebration of happiness for all of you. Every festival belongs to everyone, and no one should feel alone. 

While talking to Muslim community during the gathering for Eid-Al-Fitur celebration she said, "Eid is a celebration of happiness for all of you. Every festival belongs to everyone, and no one should feel alone—we are with you. Do not think that you must follow any restrictions imposed by others. There are those who seek to divide and rule, but we stand for you, for every religion, and for every family..."

Chief Minister Banerjee criticized the BJP, questioning if their alleged issues with minorities would lead to constitutional changes. She reiterated her commitment to religious respect and condemned the BJP's "divisive politics" as "jumla politics," stating her inclusive identity as Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and Indian, defying their attempts to divide and rule. She also accused the Left of aligning with the BJP, vowing to protect the people and urging them to avoid provocations. TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee emphasized the party's unity in resisting the BJP during the last Lok Sabha elections. He countered claims that either Hindus or Muslims are in danger, arguing instead that the BJP's communal politics endanger the entire country and promising resistance to any attempts to create division in West Bengal.
