Bihar Assembly Election 2025: Big Blow to BJP-Led NDA as RLJP Chief Pashupati Kumar Paras Exits Alliance, Vows to Contest All 243 Seat
Ahead of Bihar assembly elections in Bihar, which are coming in few months all the political parties are making strategies and preparing for polls. The BJP will face the upcoming Bihar assembly elections along with other parties including the incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. However, despite this, there is talk in political circles that the BJP is likely to use the strategy of winning maximum seats and giving strength to its allies in Bihar as well. On the other hand, an ally from National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has announced that they no longer wish to be a part of alliance. It has also expressed its intention to join the India Aghadi.
National President of the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) and former Union Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras has made a big announcement. Talking to the media, Pashupati Paras said that he has been in the NDA since 2014. He worked as a loyal constituent and colleague of the NDA. When the Lok Sabha elections were held, the NDA did injustice to our party because it is a party of Dalits. Still, in the national interest, our party decided to support the NDA in the elections. After 6 to 8 months, when the NDA meets in Bihar, the BJP state president and JDU state president make a statement that there are '5 Pandavas' in Bihar. They do not mention our party's name anywhere in it. Now, finally, it is our turn to leave the NDA. We were forced to do so, expressed Pashupati Paras' regret.
We are preparing for all 243 seats
We are going among the people and have started a membership drive. We are preparing for all 243 seats. Pashupati Paras also gave a clear indication that if the India Aghadi and the Grand Alliance give us the right respect at the right time, we will definitely consider joining them in the future. Also, the party workers are going to the villages and strengthening the party organization. We will go with the party that gives us the right respect in the coming elections, we will all the party leaders will come together and decide on that, we have not yet decided with whom to form an alliance. However, we have started preparations for the elections separately, Paras also mentioned.

Meanwhile, after this decision of Pashupati Paras, it is being said that the challenge facing the BJP, NDA and Chirag Paswan will increase. Earlier, Pashupati Paras had criticized Prime Minister Modi while opposing the Waqf Amendment Act 2025. Paras had said that if Prime Minister Modi had got 400 seats, he would have changed the Constitution. Now that he is not in the majority, the Waqf Amendment Act has been brought to spread unrest in the country. Paras had said that we have been opposing the changes in the Waqf Act since the beginning.
