Patna, April 8 A tragic incident has emerged from Bhabhua, where a 20-year-old youth died after allegedly consuming food from a local restaurant, while his younger brother and a friend fell ill.

The deceased has been identified as Vishal Kumar Tiwari, a resident of Sarangpur.

Following the incident, the district administration has sealed the restaurant from which the food was purchased.

According to an official, Vishal, along with his brother Vinayak Tiwari and friend Devraj Kumar Singh, had brought food items—including Manchurian and Kadhai Paneer—from a restaurant on Tuesday night. They consumed the meal around 10:30 PM.

Later in the night, all three began experiencing severe health complications, including vomiting.

Their condition worsened early in the morning, prompting the family to rush them to the Sadar Hospital.

Family members stated that the trio was admitted to the hospital around 4:30 AM, where doctors declared Vishal dead.

However, the family has alleged medical negligence, claiming that he was declared dead without a proper examination and that their pleas were not adequately addressed.

In a shocking development, the family observed signs of movement in Vishal’s body after he was declared dead. They immediately took him to a private hospital, where doctors reportedly confirmed that he had died only minutes earlier—raising serious questions about the handling of the case at the government hospital.

The hospital administration, however, has denied all allegations of negligence.

Upon receiving information, officials, including Amit Kumar and Aniket Amar, reached the hospital to assess the situation.

Police have registered an FIR based on the complaint filed by the deceased’s father.

A forensic team has collected food samples from both the restaurant and the victim’s residence for laboratory analysis.

Additionally, viscera has been preserved during the post-mortem to scientifically determine the exact cause of death.

The incident has cast a shadow of grief over the family. Vishal’s father revealed that preparations were underway for his son’s sacred thread ceremony scheduled for April 20.

Police forces have been deployed in the area as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order.

Officials have stated that further action will be taken based on the post-mortem findings and forensic reports, which are expected to clarify whether food poisoning or any other factor led to the tragic death.
