A 4-month expectant mother and a nurse at a hospital in Gujarat continues to serve the patients amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Meet Nancy Ayeza Mistry, who has been attending patients at a Covid-19 care centre while observing fast in the holy month of Ramadan. Speaking to India Today, the soon to be mom says,  "I have a child in my womb, but my duty is important to me. By the grace of God, I have the opportunity to serve the patients in the holy month of Ramadan."The four-month pregnant nurse, working on COVID-19 frontline in Gujarat for six hours a day has emerged as a shining example for selfless dedication to work.

Earlier, in a similar example, Roopa Praveen Rao who was a expectant mother worked at Jayachamarajendra Government Hospital in Karnataka.  She has also won praise from Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa who expressed his gratitude towards her services in the hospital and requested her to go on maternity leave. Apart from serving in the hospital, the nurse was also deputed to Gajanur in the same district to tackle cases of coronavirus. India reported over 3.46 lakh Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours ending 9 am Saturday, making it the highest single-day spike in the country. This is also the most number of Covid cases reported in a day in any country in the world. The country also reported 2,624 deaths over the same duration.On Friday, India had recorded over 3.32 lakh new Covid cases.
