The Union Ministry of Health has expressed concern over the rising coronavirus cases in several districts of the country. It has also warned about the possibility of  young children may get infected with the coronavirus. A press conference of the Ministry of Health was held on Friday (Dec. 16) on the situation of corona in the country. At the press conference, Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health, said that proper planning is needed to protect children from the coronavirus. At the same time, the health ministry has warned districts in the country still reporting a positivity rate of more than 10 per cent, saying the coronavirus is not over yet.

The use of masks has declined significantly in the last few days, the health ministry said. Statistics show that the use of masks has significantly decreased after the relaxation of restrictions in some places. The use of masks should be included in the normal process, said the joint secretary of the Union Ministry of Health. Lav Agarwal said the second wave in the country is not over yet and people should follow the Corona rules properly. He also called on state governments to improve health infrastructure to prepare for the third wave of corona virus.
