The daughter of 76-year old Karnataka man who was the first person to die of coronavirus in India has been tested positive.

The daughter of 76-year old Karnataka man who was the first person to die of coronavirus in India has been tested positive. According to reports, her condition is reported to be stable and all her contacts have been traced and conatinment measures have been initated. Members of the elderly man’s family, including his son and daughter, were being closely monitored in special wards at the district hospital after they developed symptoms last week. A total of seven persons have tested positive for the deadly virus in Karnataka so far.

The state health department on Sunday announced thermal screening measures at the high court and at the Vidhan Sabha. A massive exercise is underway in Kalaburagi to prevent the spread of the disease in the region where the patient lived. Even reporters who came in touch with the primary contacts of the patient who died have been put under isolation. The number of novel coronavirus cases in India rose to 110 so far.
