Delhi Assembly Speaker hails importance of astrology​

New Delhi, April 4 Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta said on Saturday that astrology represents a civilisational effort to understand time not as a sequence of moments, but as a meaningful continuum.​

Addressing Astro Cultural Mahotsav, Astro Conclave 2026, Gupta emphasised the necessity of introspection in modern life.​

Gupta remarked that in an era dominated by the "speed of discourse," platforms that encourage patient inquiry and traditional wisdom are vital for maintaining societal harmony and direction.​

The Speaker highlighted that India’s civilisational journey has always been defined by a unique synthesis of reason and intuition.​

He noted that astrology, in its classical sense, is not merely a practice but a philosophical effort to understand time as a meaningful continuum.​
