Delhi CM Swearing: Next Chief Minister and Council of Ministers to Take Oath at Ramlila Maidan on February 20

The next Chief Minister of Delhi, along with the new council of ministers, is expected to take oath at Ramlila Maidan on February 20, party sources confirmed on Monday. The ceremony is scheduled for 4.30 pm and is likely to be attended by key BJP leaders, including Chief Ministers from states governed by the party.

A BJP legislative party meeting, originally scheduled for Monday, has been postponed to Wednesday, during which the party is expected to finalize its candidate for the Chief Minister's post, sources revealed.

The details of the oath ceremony will also be discussed during the meeting, sources added. After more than 26 years, the BJP secured a return to power in Delhi, sweeping the recent Assembly elections, with results announced on February 8. The party ended the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) decade-long rule, winning 48 out of the 70 seats, while AAP managed only 22. The victory was further highlighted by the defeat of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, who lost his New Delhi seat to BJP's Parvesh Verma.
