Delay in train services on Magenta Line Extension between the Majlis Park and Deepali Chowk metro stations due to a technical issue.
Normal services on all other lines.
The recently opened section linking Majlis Park to Maujpur, covering about 12 kilometres, and the 9-kilometre stretch between Majlis Park and Deepali Chowk became operational on March 8 under the massive ₹18,000-crore expansion programme of the Delhi Metro. The project was inaugurated by Narendra Modi. This newly developed corridor has improved metro access for several neighbourhoods such as Burari, Jagatpur-Wazirabad, Khajuri Khas, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar, Madhuban Chowk, Haiderpur Badli Mor, Bhalaswa and Majlis Park, among others. The extension aims to ease travel for thousands of commuters by strengthening public transport connectivity across northern and northeastern parts of the national capital.

Along with launching the new route, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also laid the foundation stone for three additional corridors under Phase V-A of the Delhi Metro project, which will collectively span around 16.10 kilometres. The proposed lines will run between RK Ashram Marg and Indraprastha, Aerocity and Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 1, and Tughlakabad and Kalindi Kunj. According to an official statement, these new corridors are expected to enhance connectivity to key locations across the capital and simplify travel for passengers commuting between Noida, South Delhi and the airport.
Officials also noted that with the completion of Phase IV and the upcoming Phase V-A works, the Magenta Line of the Delhi Metro will become the network’s longest corridor. The route will feature the highest number of interchange stations and underground segments in the system. Once the full corridor connecting Botanical Garden and Inderlok is completed, the Magenta Line will extend to nearly 89 kilometres. This expansion is expected to significantly strengthen the capital’s rapid transit network and offer smoother, faster connectivity across several densely populated parts of the city.
