An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale took place near Champhai in Mizoram on Friday.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale took place near Champhai in Mizoram on Friday.

According to the data provided by the National Centre for Seismology, the quake occurred at 11:16 am today, with the epicentre located 29 km southeast of Champhai.

In Assam, a 3.5 magnitude earthquake took place near Karbi Anglong.

Earlier in the day, an earthquake of the magnitude of 3 struck Aligarh at 6:02 am.
