Councillor’s ‘kidnapping’: AAP, BJP in verbal spat.

"Look at the cruelty of ED @KhanAmanatullah first he joined the ED investigation, then asked for time for further time, his mother in law has cancer, she has undergone an operation, they reached the house early in the morning to raid. There is no evidence against @KhanAmanatullah but both Modi's dictatorship and ED's hooliganism continue," Sanjay Singh in a post on X.

Khan, in a video posted on social media, alleged that the Central probe agency harassing him for the last 2 years and filed fake cases against him. He said he's not afraid to go to jail.

"It is 7 AM right now. ED has come to my residence to arrest me in the name of a search warrant. My mother-in-law has been diagnosed with cancer. She had an operation four days ago. She is also at my house. I have written to them (ED) and I have replied to every notice. Their only motive is to arrest me and stop our work. For the last two years, these people have been harassing me, and filing fake cases against me. Every day, they are creating some or the other problem for not only me but my entire party...We are neither going to bow down to them nor are we going to be afraid of them, they will send us to jail. I am hopeful that the way we got justice in the court earlier, this time too we will get justice," Khan said.

"Even though the ED is being repeatedly reprimanded by the Supreme Court, even though they are being repeatedly warned that they should not conduct investigation with malice and their only aim is to keep people in jail. Despite this, today ED reached the residence of Amanatullah Khan, who is an MLA from the AAP, early in the morning to conduct a raid," said AAP MP Sanjay Singh on ED raid at Amanatullah Khan's residence.

"At a time when his mother-in-law has cancer and has undergone an operation. The lawyer of Amanatullah Khan wrote to ED and sought time...CBI registered a case in 2016. After a long investigation of six years, CBI said that Amanatullah Khan did not take any bribes. He did not commit any economic crime. CBI did not even arrest him...After this, ED does not close its case. In 2023, it raided Amanatullah Khan's house. ED called Amanatullah Khan to its office and questioned him for 13 hours and today in the same case of 2016, today again ED has reached his residence in connection with the same case," he said further.
