Education ministry, Meta to work together: Pradhan

New Delhi, 4 Sep For digital and skill education an important MoU was signed with the technology company Meta, on Monday in New Delhi.

During this initiative the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that this will increase CBSE schools engagement with Meta, increase AI, and VR capacity and increase knowledge of technology.

He said that the Meta will also work with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for capacity building.

Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched ‘Education to Entrepreneurship: Empowering Students, Educators, and Entrepreneurs’ in New Delhi in collaboration with Meta.

The MoU were signed in the presence of Union Minister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajeev Chandrashekhar.

Pradhan said that primary goal of these initiatives are to nurture the expedition and motivate young individuals to turn their educational groundwork into flourishing enterprises.

Meta unveiled this endeavor in partnership with both the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Skill Development.

Pradhan called it a ‘game-changer’, saying “Education To Entrepreneurship’ partnership will take digital skilling to the grassroots, build capacities of our talent pool, seamlessly connect students, youth, workforce and micro-entrepreneurs, with futuristic technologies and transform our Amrit Peedhi into new-age problem solvers and entrepreneurs.”

MoS Rajiv Chandrashekhar said that guided by the tenets of NEP, META’s partnerships with NIESBUD, CBSE and AICTE will catalyse infinite possibilities for equipping our population with critical digital skills and empowering micro entrepreneurs and small businesses.

He said that the government is working to prepare the youth for rapidly transforming India and to equip them with skills so that they can succeed and play an important role in the evolving landscape of technology.

Meta's India Head, Sandhya Devanathan said that this partnership is a testimony to a long term commitment towards shaping the future of India.
