In some cities, petrol has already crossed Rs 100-mark per litre. Samyukta Kisan Morcha said that the transportation charge has increased due to hike in petrol and diesel prices, so they have decided to hike the milk price to Rs 100 per litre from March 1.
Malkit Singh, District Head, Bharatiya Kisan Union, told that from March 1, farmers are going to increase the prices of milk, after which milk that was being sold for Rs 50 per litre will now be sold at double price i.e. Rs 100 per litre.
Malkit Singh says that the Central Government has made every effort to break the farmers by increasing the price of diesel, but the Samyukta Kisan Morcha has taken a strong decision to double the price of milk.
