Hyderabad Power Cut Today: Rajendranagar Areas to Face Outage From 11 AM to 4 PM for Maintenance Work

The electricity department has issued an important advisory for residents of the Rajendranagar constituency in Hyderabad, informing them of scheduled power interruptions on Tuesday as part of ongoing infrastructure upgrades and urgent maintenance work ahead of the high-demand summer season. According to Mir Alam ADE Venkatesh Goud, electricity supply will be temporarily suspended in Attapur and several surrounding localities. The outages will be carried out in phases, meaning different colonies will experience disruptions at different times during the day.

As per the schedule, power supply will be interrupted between 11:00 am and 1:30 pm in Kanthireddy Nagar, Radhakrishna Nagar, and Ambience Port Colony. Later in the day, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm, outages will affect Hyderguda, areas near Eshwar Theatre, the Gandhi statue vicinity, and nearby localities.

Officials stated that such maintenance activities are routinely undertaken before the onset of summer and include transformer servicing, repair of electrical lines, and trimming of tree branches that may interfere with power infrastructure. These preventive measures are crucial to managing increased electricity demand during hotter months and reducing the likelihood of unexpected or prolonged outages.

Residents have been advised to make necessary preparations to minimise inconvenience. Authorities recommend managing essential appliances such as refrigerators and air conditioners in advance, storing adequate water as pumps will not function during the outage, and ensuring that inverters or UPS systems are fully charged. Citizens are also urged to maintain a safe distance from areas where electricity department staff will be carrying out maintenance work.

Officials added that if the work is completed ahead of schedule, power supply may be restored earlier than the announced timings.
