The post has gone viral on Twitter. The clip with a length of 1 minute 48 seconds was posted by Imtiyaz Hussain, a Jammu and Kashmir police officer from his personal handle @hussain_imtiyaz at 9.40 p.m. on August 10.

Till 12 noon on Sunday, the video had been viewed more than 3,50,000 times and retweeted 9,000 times.

In the video, Srinagar appears normal. There is hustle and bustle in prominent street corners as locals gathered in large numbers to shop.

Areas of Lal Chowk, Jehangir Chowk, Batmaloo and Dal Gate in Srinagar have been showcased in the video.

It also shows many locales from Ganderbal, Baramulla, Pulawama and Budgam districts.

"Jug jug jiyo @hussain_imtiyaz bhai. A very very very happy #Eid," posted senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh member Tarun Vijay in reply to the tweet.

There have been hundreds of similar replies to the post ever since it was posted.

"What a sight to behold !!! God bless Kashmir," replied a user Pramod

Kumar Singh.

On Sunday after the overwhelming response to the video, Hussain tweeted: "Kashmir is the idea of India and India is the idea of Kashmir our ancestors nourished." There was a photo of a vegetable seller on a boat with Shikaras in the backdrop.

Hussain was also slammed by many, who refused to buy his claims
