LPG Supply Relief Likely as Two Ships Set to Reach India Safely via Strait of Hormuz
Amid ongoing tensions in West Asia, there is some relief for India on the energy front. According to government sources, two Indian LPG carriers, ‘Green Sakshi’ and ‘Green Asha’ have safely crossed the Strait of Hormuz and are expected to reach the country soon.
Both ships are carrying over 60,000 tonnes of LPG, making the consignment crucial for maintaining the domestic gas supply. ‘Green Sakshi’ is likely to arrive by April 7, while ‘Green Asha’ is expected by April 9. Officials said both vessels are safe and have Indian crew members on board. One ship is carrying around 46,000 tonnes of LPG, while the other has approximately 15,000 tonnes.
