As Maha Kumbh nears the end, devotees continue to pour in large numbers for their sacred dips in the Triveni Sangam, at Prayagraj. Many people are planning this pilgrimage on the occasion of Mahashivratri for Mahashivratri Snan. As the festival will be celebrated on February 26, devotees at Maha Kumbh offer prayers at ancient Bhole Giri Temple near Triveni Sangam. This temple holds great significance during Magh Mela, Kumbh and Ardh Kumbh.

Although the Makar Sankranti celebration is over, pilgrims' excitement is still strong, as seen by the daily increase in attendance. Thousands of people are still travelling to the sacred location and planning to take the Maha Shivaratri Snan. As the throngs continue to pour in, shouting Mother Ganga's praises, it is evident how fervently they are spiritually and with faith.

There are still six days left for Shivaratri, and yet more than 1.25 crore devotees took bath from morning to evening on February 20. So far the total number of people who have taken baths has reached 58.03 crores.
