Mahila Samman Scheme: Registration for Rs 2,500 Aid to Women in Delhi to Begin on March 8, Says Manoj Tiwari

BJP leader and MP Manoj Tiwari said that registration for monthly aid of Rs 2,500 for women beneficiaries will start on March 8, 2025. He said that a list of Mahila Samman Scheme women beneficiaries will be prepared, and the government will complete the process of providing Rs 2,500 to every poor woman in the National Capital in one and a half months.

BJP MP requested eligible women register for the Mahila Samman scheme introduced during the 2025 Delhi Assembly election. The scheme was launched by the BJP to promise Rs 2,500 per month for women beneficiaries, the economically disadvantaged, and the women's section of society.

"This is our promise. After getting its category registered, we will fulfil it... AAP didn't do anything, and now they are baffled about how (BJP) is about to fulfil their tall promises," Manoj Tiwari said.

AAP criticised the BJP government in Delhi for not approving the scheme in its first cabinet meeting, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised. Chief minister Rekha Gupta claimed that the previous AAP government left behind "empty coffers" for the new BJP regime. However, she added that all the promises made by the BJP to the people would be fulfilled.
