A major fire accident happened in the posh area of Gujarat’s Diamond City, Surat. A massive fire broke out in the Happy Enclave building in the Vesu area on April 11. This incident happened near the house of State Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi. The fire broke out on the 8th Floor of the Happy Enclave building. The police and fire brigade teams reached the spot to control the fire as soon as they got the information about the accident. People were rescued from the 7th, 8th, and 9th floors of the building by the fire officials. Minister Harsh Sanghvi also reached the spot to manage the situation.
This fire broke out in the Happy Enclave building around 8 AM. The work of extinguishing the fire by the fire brigade is going on. An update on the total loss will be available only after this operation is completed. No casualties have been reported till now. It is still not known how a fire broke out in such a posh building despite high maintenance.
Speaking about the incident, he said, “I was already up there and as you can see, the fire brigade's high-tech types of machinery are being used to extinguish the fire. When I came down from the top, the fire was under control. But the smoke is still there and it will be under control in some time. More than 50 people are working inside the fire brigade. Some people are working in this area, and some people are working in the front. A total of 150 fire brigade teams are present here.”
Harsh Sanghvi praised the fire officials for their great job. He said, “When I was walking down this morning, I got to know about it. I went up with the fire brigade team and saw how the fire brigade team is fighting a war in front of fire. They have worked here as Hanuman. As you can see, the entire fire brigade team of Surat Sehar Mahanagar Palika has done a very good job. They have done a great job of saving many people.”
