Odisha allows home delivery of liquor

The Odisha government on Monday allowed home delivery of out still (OS) liquor and ENA based country liquor (CL).

The Odisha government on Monday allowed home delivery of out still (OS) liquor and ENA based country liquor (CL).

The delivery can be done between 7 am and 6 pm subject to compliance of lockdown orders issued by local authorities, to begin in the state.

According to a release by the Excise Department, Odisha government, the retailers can charge Rs 10 per bottle for delivery but not exceeding Rs 50 per order, also, the delivery can either be done by the licensee himself or through his authorised representative.

"At this stage, OS and CL licensees have not been permitted the sale of liquor across the counter in their premises," the release read.
