Piyush Goyal Predicts BJP Victory in Kerala: ‘Lotus Will Bloom with Thumping Majority’

Union Minister Piyush Goyal expressed confidence on Friday that the BJP will win the affection of the people of Kerala and hopes to secure a "thumping majority" in the state. He stated, "The lotus will bloom in Kerala," anticipating that the citizens will trust the BJP as they did in the Central government.

When asked about the party's expectations in Kerala, Goyal reiterated, "The lotus will earn the love and affection of the people of Kerala. We aim for a thumping majority, similar to our third victory in the Central government." He emphasized the Prime Minister's dedication, saying he is working "three times harder, three times better" for greater outcomes for the nation, and expressed confidence that the people of Kerala will also support the BJP.

Earlier, at the Global Investors Summit 2025 in Kochi, Goyal highlighted that India's economic growth results from collaboration between Central and state governments, fostering competition and cooperation. He noted, "Only when states grow can the country grow. Today, 16 percent of the world's growth comes from India, positioning us as a global growth engine."

He strongly backed Invest Kerala, the state's initiative to attract investment, reiterating the Central government's commitment to collaborate with Kerala to enhance economic growth, manufacturing, tourism, and infrastructure. Goyal reflected on how Prime Minister Modi's Vibrant Gujarat summit inspired large-scale investment summits across India, evolving from an annual to a bi-annual event and serving as a model for state-level investment promotion efforts, thereby strengthening cooperative federalism.

Highlighting India's rapid economic progress, Goyal noted that the country has risen from the 11th to the 5th largest economy in the past decade. He asserted, "We are poised to become an internationally relevant player." With India continuing to attract global investments, Goyal expressed confidence that the nation will play a significant role in shaping the world's economic future.
