Poonch Traffic Update: Jams Reported Due Landslides on Jammu National Highway
Traffic between Poonch and Jammu via Surankote has come to a standstill on Friday, February 28, due to a series of landslides triggered by heavy rainfall on the Poonch-Jammu National Highway. A rockfall on the route claimed the life of a driver yesterday, prompting authorities to issue a travel advisory.

Meanwhile, two people also killed after their vehicle in which they where travelling hit by a massive boulder in Surankote area of Poonch district due to heavy rains that triggered landslides and shooting stones, reported Hindustan Times. The police told HT that the SUV hit by a boulder in which both the men inside the SUV were killed.

Meanwhile, seven people were injured, while others were suspected to be missing, after a car veered off the road and plunged into the Poonch River in Jammu Kashmir's Poonch district. The incident took place on Thursday night.
