In a shocking incident, senior journalist & popular anchor Rohit Sardana passed away on Friday. Rohit Sardana had tested COVID-19 positive on April 24 and suffered a heart attack on Friday morning. The media personality had tweeted that his RT-PCR test report was negative but CT-scan detected covid infection in his lungs.  

He left Zee News to join Aaj Tak in 2017. In 2018, Rohit Sardana was awarded the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Puraskar by the Government of India.
