A shocking incident has taken place in Bhojpur district of Bihar before the counting of votes began for Bihar Assembly Elections 2020. BJP Mahila Morcha mayor's BJP 'Mahila Morcha' city president's husband was shot dead in Ara city of Bhojpur district.The incident took place in Sundernagar locality of the town on Monday evening. Armed criminals who came on a bike, shot civil court advocate Pritam Narayan Singh alias Saheb Singh, leaving him seriously injured, according to a report by News18.Singh was rushed to a nearby private hospital in the city, but looking at his condition deteriorating, he was referred to a hospital in Patna. However Singh died on the way.

After receiving the news abou the incident, Bhojpur SP Har Kishore Rai, Sadar SDPO Pankaj Kumar Rawat, Municipal Police Station Dharmendra Kumar, Nawada Police Station President Sanjeev Kumar Dalbal reached the spot and begun a preliminary investigation.

Pritam Narayan Singh's son said that his father was returning home from the civil court on a bike when two armed criminals also on a bike, stopped Singh near a temple in Sundar Nagar locality and shot him.

Singh was an active leader of the BJP and had taken part in several events during the course of the 2020 Bihar assembly election. The counting to the Bihar assembly election is underway.
