Shocking! Tamil Nadu man dies after falling in pot of boiling porridge

A man involved in cooking porridge for a temple festival died after he accidentally fell into the huge utensil in which porridge was being cooked. The incident happened in Madurai on during the Aadi festival celebrations at the Muthumariamman temple near Palanganatham. The incident was caught on CCTV. The victim, Muthukumar, felt a bout of dizziness and tried to lean one of the six utensils in which porridge was being cooked.

Suddenly, he fell into the utensil. Fellow workers triedto rescue him, but it was quite a struggle. Muthukumar fell on the ground when the utensil tumbled. A badly burnt Muthukumar with 65 percent burn was taken to the hospital where he breathed his last. ‘Aadi Velli’ is an important festival celebrated across Tamil Nadu where porridge is cooked and distributed to the public in honour of Goddess Amman.
