Tailor Molests Class 10 Girl While Taking Uniform Measurements, Women & Student Associations Protest Outside School (Watch Video)

A class 10 girl claimed she was molested by tailors at school. After this incident, the Students' Federation of India and All India Democratic Women's Association protested outside the private school in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, on March 27.

After the girl went to the cops with her complaint, police filed a case against a school teacher and two tailors under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). Police Sub-Inspector Kavitha conducted an investigation.

After this incident, the association staged a protest outside the school and demanded a ban on male tailors taking measurements of female students for the uniform. Clashes erupted when police tried to detain the agitators. Many people were arrested.
