India recorded the highest single-day COVID-19 fatalities with 4,529 new deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry's data on Wednesday. Meanwhile, India's daily spike of coronavirus cases remained below the 3 lakh mark for the third consecutive day as only 2,67,334 fresh infections were recorded during a 24-hour period.

In order to curb the spread of the virus the government has appealed to the citizens to wear masks, follow social distancing, quarantine, home isolation. Meanwhile, leaders of some political parties are making controversial statements regarding Corona. They are also claiming to chase away Corona with strange solutions.

A similar incident has come to the fore once again. In Meerut, preparations are being made to chase away Corona with 'shankh' and 'hawan'. BJP leader Gopal Sharma has taken a different approach to chase away the coronavirus.

Gopal Sharma has said that the corona virus can be destroyed by the smoke of 'hawan' and the sound of 'shankh (conch shells). A video of this incidemt has gone viral on social media . In this video, Gopal Sharma is seen walking on the road with a bicycle carrying a 'hawan' kund.

In the 'hawan', cow dung, ghee, sticks of mango trees and camphor were collected and the havan was lit, said Sharma. The smoke from the 'hawan' purifies the air in the atmosphere and destroys the dangerous virus. Gopal Sharma has also claimed that the amount of oxygen also increases. A Hindi website has reported about this.

A few days back, BJP MP from Bhopal Pragya Thakur had also claimed that drinking cow urine will help to keep away the virus.
