Amid the intense heat, met department has predicted that Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi are likely to experience light to moderate rain and gusty winds during May 12-15. On the other hand light to moderate rain may occur in western Uttar Pradesh on May 12, and in eastern Uttar Pradesh on May 12-13.
From May 12-14, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand are likely to experience light to moderate rain or snowfall, accompanied by strong winds (30-60 kmph). Himachal Pradesh can expect similar conditions from May 12-15.Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Meghalaya are forecast to receive light to moderate rain from May 12-15. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura can anticipate light to moderate rain from May 13-15.
Chhattisgarh is expected to have light to moderate rain in some areas from May 13-15, with potential lightning and gusty winds (30-50 kmph).A severe heatwave is predicted for Rajasthan this week, with temperatures expected to rise. Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions will likely experience a heatwave for the next 4-5 days. Southeastern parts of the state will see maximum temperatures between 43 and 45 degrees Celsius, with a possibility of heat waves in some locations.
Delhi Weather Alert: The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Delhi, forecasting rain and strong winds on May 12. The weather is expected to fluctuate between May 12 and 14, with maximum temperatures ranging from 34–38°C and minimum temperatures between 24–28°C. May 12 will be partly cloudy with light rain and strong winds (30–40 km/h, gusting to 50 km/h). There is a chance of rain with lightning on the afternoon and evening of May 13.
