IPL 2026, PBKS vs DC Today Match: Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals are set to face off in Match 55 of the Indian Premier League 2026 encounter at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala on Monday, May 11, 2026, but weather conditions have raised concerns over the possibility of rain interruptions during the match.
The scenic Dharamshala venue is hosting IPL action once again as the playoff race enters a decisive phase, with both teams under pressure to secure a victory.
According to weather forecasts, the hill station has experienced rainfall over the past few days, creating uncertainty ahead of the high-stakes contest.
However, there is some positive news for cricket fans. Forecasts suggest that while the probability of rain during the daytime remains above 50 percent, the chances of showers are expected to reduce significantly closer to match time.
At around 7:30 PM IST, when the match is scheduled to begin, the rain probability is expected to drop to nearly 17 percent. As the evening progresses, chances of rainfall are forecast to reduce further to below 10 percent, improving the possibility of a full 20-over game.
The weather is also expected to remain unusually cool for IPL conditions, with temperatures likely to range between 3 and 9 degrees Celsius during the day and evening.
Punjab Kings will enter the match desperate to return to winning ways after suffering three consecutive defeats. The Shreyas Iyer-led side had previously shared points with Kolkata Knight Riders in a rain-affected fixture and will hope for uninterrupted play this time around.
PBKS are still firmly in the playoff race and remain in contention for a top-two finish in the standings.
Delhi Capitals, meanwhile, are in a must-win situation after a poor run of results. Another defeat would officially eliminate the Axar Patel-led side from the IPL 2026 playoff race.
This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season. In the reverse fixture at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Punjab Kings completed a record chase of 265 runs to stun DC in one of the most memorable matches of IPL 2026.
Since that victory on April 25, however, PBKS have failed to register another win and will be eager to bounce back at the picturesque Dharamshala venue.
